Researching the topics covered in each book, I was inspired by the double helix shape of DNA to produce the wavy lines which the entire design is based upon
The books are differentiated by the use of colour (allowing for the potential of them being referred to as the 'red book' and the 'blue book') as well as the feature of the cat and dog imagery (carried over from the original book cover design so as to keen an aspect of continuity for readers with existing knowledge of the series)
I chose to use bright and bold colours to attract readers as well as to reflect the interesting content of the books
